Jill Williams

Jill Williams is a seasoned educator and technology specialist. She believes that technology is a perfect vehicle for improving student achievement, adding excitement and life skills into classrooms and reaching students with a variety of learning skills and styles. Jill worked as a technology specialist for Region 9 for three years where she conducted Professional Development workshops for the Region and in schools. She developed a true collaborative relationship with teachers, administrators, coaches, visiting artists and students.
 
Before joining Region 9, Jill worked for the Peer Intervention Program where her main responsibility was training teachers to use technology. She worked for ten years as the technology instructor and coordinator in a school in District 4. Jill has also served as the Director of Technology programs for the non-profit organization, Teachers Network. She helped to create an initiative that brought together a group of New York City educators who collaborated with members on technology projects and wrote and published technology curricula.
 
Jill has a B.A. from the University of Connecticut, a M.A. from Columbia Teachers College, and a Certificate in Educational Technology from NYIT.
