Carolyn Demefack

Carolyn Demefack has over ten years experience in the field of educational technology. As an educational consultant, she has partnered with educators on projects ranging from multi-year residencies to half day workshops to support reflective practice and professional development on 21st Century learning tools that impact innovative student learning and achievement.

In her role as Educational Technology Coordinator at the Bank Street School for Children from 2008-2010, she led the school’s strategic technology planning process while supporting a faculty of approximately 75 teachers and school leaders on using technology effectively to support student learning. In addition, she taught a graduate level course at Bank Street College of Education entitled “Integrating Technology 
into the Curriculum to Support 
Student Learning and Inquiry.”

She has produced videos for the NYCDOE’s Talent Office aligned to Charlotte Danielson’s Framework for Teaching and the New Teacher Center’s Professional Teaching Standards as well as developed multimedia learning resources for Teach For America.

Carolyn has a MA in Educational Technology from the NYU Steinhart School of Education. She worked as an educational consultant with Teaching Matters and served as an education volunteer in West Africa with the U.S. Peace Corps.
