Areas of Practice

We know there is no standard approach to transforming schools or districts.  That’s why we partner with school leaders to design customized professional development engagements, tailored to meet the specific needs, environments, and goals of each learning community. Through our Consultative Methodology, we provide customized, ongoing, job-embedded professional development programs to drive a “culture of innovation in education” in your schools. We are fully aligned to the core strands of ISTE’s National Education Technology Standards (NETS) for administrators, teachers, and students, as reflected in how we conduct our professional development practice:

Whole School Improvement builds a culture of school innovation where educators, students, and parents develop and articulate a vision, together with curricular frameworks for effectively integrating technology.   Elements include Whole-School Innovation and Planning, NCLB Requirements for Technology Literacy, Curriculum Development connected to state and the National Technology Standards (NETS), and Effectiveness Research.

Digital Age Teaching and Learning focuses on technology integration in the PreK-12 learning environment. Classroom teachers are equipped with the strategies and supports they need to confidently develop 21st-century learners, according to their own standards and accountability metrics. Students benefit from standards -driven, 21st-century technology -infused learning experience.

Virtual Schooling/E-learning covers research-based practices for designing, choosing, implementing, and evaluating online courses and e-learning experiences for students and teachers.

Ethics and Equity helps ensure that acceptable-use policies are in place, so all members of the school community become responsible and involved digital citizens.

Testimonials

“[Our tech consultant] was able to take the project ideas I developed and extract the relatable information then frame it in language that made it easy for teachers to make the connections between the technology project and their teaching goals. In it he included the NYS teaching standards as well as the ITSE’s NETS standards, which allowed me to see how the projects I created were in line with current technology standards and State education as well.”
