Multi-Day Institutes

Intensive institutes can be customized to meet district, network, and school needs and will work on several levels and be geared to different audiences.  For example, administrators and technology coordinators often need assistance reflecting critically on their planning as well as creating and sustaining a true culture of innovation that enables systematic student achievement.  We develop intensive institutes to meet such needs. Where appropriate, they incorporate video case studies and exemplars of best practices and student work when technology is powerfully integrated into learning communities, schools, and classrooms.  Each institute is extended via an online professional learning community that archives consultant-participant interactions, materials, and allows to continued support from DSS.

Online Professional Learning Community

Participants will also have ongoing access to a DSS online professional learning network which will archive all Institute materials, such as model innovation plans, templates, and best-practice exemplars. Each workshop or institute is extended via an online professional learning community that archives consultant-participant interactions, case studies, workshop materials, templates, and participant work.  As participants create their own materials and daily reflections, they will be encouraged to share them on the network. DSS consultants will comment on work and be available after the Institute concludes for a period to answer questions and provide support.
