Unlike other professional development services providers, DSS provides customized, job-embedded, research-based professional development. We work side by side with administrators, coaches, and educators to provide professional learning across the school community to realize instructional, curriculum, and often, systemic changes. Our work is designed to improve the effectiveness of teaching by improving instructional practices through the gradual release of responsibility model.
A DSS Consultant provides in-school on-site consultancy centered on agreed-to and school based educational technology goals, including but not limited to innovation planning, whole school improvement, digital age teaching and learning, virtual learning, ethics and equity, infusing technology into the curriculum. Consultancy can be provided one-on-one, in small groups or with teams and is charged out at a daily rate although consultancy ranges from 10-100+ days.
We are committed to ensuring our work has both an immediate and long-term impact. Our approach is not about the 'quick-fix', it is about building capacity and laying a solid foundation on which schools can continue to build in the future.
